Hi, my name is David Parker. I am not the average 18 year old, I am a U.S Army soldier. My family lives in Michigan, Ohio. Joining the army was the biggest decision ever. My mom and pops weren't so happy about me living home, but I knew that going to the army would be the right thing to do. I love to play video games and sports, my favorite sport is basketball. Know that you got to know me lets move on to the more exiting things.

I am writing this just in case if I die. If I die people will know what we do around here, so it is kind of like a diary. Being in the army is not easy, you have to wake up at 6a.m. every morning. We eat breakfast, then we usually do some exercise. We do about 100 push-ups every day. We are in a hide out in enemy territory. We send in spies to check on the enemy. In a couple of days we are going to invade them. I am a Sergeant grade 2. I am in charge of telling the privates what to do.

It was a quiet day. It felt like someone sucked all the noise out of this place. We are just a day away of heading out to attack the enemy. Out of nowhere we were ambushed. There were Afghanistan troops charging at us. We all armed our stations, and got ready to attack. I had an assault rifle on my hands, and my best friend was there right next to me. We shot down guy after guy until our guns were overheated. Out of nowhere this guy shot my friend in the head. I reacted quickly I ran up to the guy that and knifed him in the heart. I went back to my friend that was dead on the ground and I told him, "I'll make sure I kill all of these bastards." I stood up and toke my dead friend's shotgun, I mowed down the whole other team. When I looked down at my feet I saw a live grenade, and I blew up emidale. I knew that I died for a good reason. I helped my team and I fufilled my promise.
